We have arrived at our first destination outside of the city, Abella Climb Refugi, perched high above Tremp Basin. This place was truly like a fairy-tale land. The refugi was tucked away in the rock and surrounded by freshly bolted routes and walls that are still being developed. The backyard even had a route that climbed out of it!!
And of course first, a selfie.
We took the 10 minute hike up from the refugi to do our first climbing in Spain at sector Esglesia. The hike was short and sweet and the climbing was fun. Plus, Joey got to impress you all with his super cute facial expressions...
You can actually see one of the lines we climbed to the right of Joey in this photo ^^ Its the crack!!
Of course we found ROCKS while we were climbing ROCKS!!
I accidentally slept with this rock... In my bra. It was a nice rock.
Besides having an abundance of rocks, the village also still has it's original Church in good condition, called Church of Sant Esteve built in the 11th century. However, the village's castle did not survive and we didn't even know about it until after we left.
We explored around as much as possible, constantly saying to each other how we couldn't believe this was real life. Liter-ally in awe. Don't mistake this for litter... There wasn't any litter. We were just absolutely amazed by this village.
The natural backdrop just was too good to not take advantage. Perfect weather, rocks all around, Romantic architecture, and....
..... Joey is handsome as shit peanut butter pie.
The sun is setting on this blog post but I promise the next one will be filled with cats, sheep, abandoned villages, and rocks.
And the fog has decided to greet us on the way to our next adventure!
